Leila YOUSSEF, PhD

Dr. Youssef is a higher education professional with a span of more than 14 years of experience at professional, academic and consultancy levels. Currently assistant professor at the Arab Open University – Lebanon branch, an Arab Chain of the Open University – UK, Dr. YOUSSEF worked with international organizations and the ministry of higher education on elaborating and updating educational, labour market and social policies. At a professional level, she has a diverse experience being it as an assistant manager for academic affairs or the head of human resources and administrative affairs. At a teaching strategy level, Dr. YOUSSEF has a wide experience with a variety of teaching techniques being it face to face flipped classrooms, hybrid learning or online learning with a wide knowledge in educational hybrid/online platforms. After finishing her PhD in economics of higher education and labour market with distinction and jury felicitation where she proposed policy recommendations and model to implement for better integration of university graduates in the labour market, Dr. YOUSSEF research interests are anchored around behavioural economics, labour economics and higher education and labour market policies with specific attention to access to education, diversity and development of higher education systems and effect on labour market, gender studies and equity and entrepreneurship and their inter-relation with unemployment/employment.

Dani Aoun, PhD
Associate Professsor

Associate Professor in the Faculty of Business Studies at the Arab Open University, where he has been since 2010. From 2012 to 2014 he served as program coordinator for the faculty. From 2016 to date, he serves as Head of Antelias Study Center and since 2019 he was also promoted to Deputy Director for Academic Affairs. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Seoul National University, South Korea. His research interests span both finance and economics. In finance, he has publications in corporate finance and microfinance and in economics; he published papers in environmental economics.

Jacques Hendieh, DBA

Fifteen years of experience in the academia field, his research covers the following topics: accounting, finance, entrepreneurship and microfinance.
He started his carrier at ESC Dijon (now BSB) between 2006 and 2009; then moved to Lebanon and joined the Arab Open University (AOU) in 2009. For the past ten years, he had the opportunity to hold different positions and responsibilities, starting from teaching a course into, since July 2014, being promoted as the Program Coordinator of the Faculty of Business Studies at the Arab Open University, Lebanon.
