Manal Ahmad is an English Academic Writing and Business Communication course coordinator and lecturer at the Arab Open University. She holds a BA degree from AOU and an MA from the Lebanese University. Her passion for teaching and continual learning has always pushed her to investigate sustainable approaches to professional development. She is pursuing a PhD in English Language and Literature at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in Lebanon. One of the prominent accomplishments of her career is advising students by writing research papers and teaching ESP courses for business, law, and nursing students.
Ms. Ahmad has extensive experience teaching English Language courses at different universities and schools. Her work and studies have brought her into contact with a wide range of people, situations, and varieties of English. Ms. Ahmad was nominated three times in three consecutive years for the Rosina Chia Award for Teaching Excellence by the Secretariat of the Global Partners in Education (GPE). She is actively involved in research and has participated in various conferences and webinars. In 2017, she was granted the opportunity to teach Public Speaking at the University of Lublin under the Erasmus Mobility Programme.
In addition, Ms. Ahmad has been a member of the Examination team at the British Council Lebanon since 2020.
Ms. Ahmad delivers various workshops on business communication-related topics, including job hunting, interviews, and business etiquette. She believes that teaching is a career like no other, as it requires skills, qualifications, passion, and talent. She cherishes every struggle and complex learning situation as these have helped develop her teaching skills and understand the learners’ concerns and fears.
