Congratulations to the 16th batch of graduates from the Arab Open University (AOU) in Lebanon!
This special event symbolizes the bridges connecting Lebanon to the Arab world. Students and their families celebrated with notable attendance from ministers and media professionals. A valuable recommendation from AOU's director, Dr. Yara Abdallah, urged graduates to uphold professional principles and enhance their scientific and knowledge-based skills with ethical conduct that respects laws and regulations.
Media personality Neshan Der Haroutiounian delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging students to believe in their abilities and professional choices. Meanwhile, Minister of Environment Nasser Yassin launched a unique initiative called “A Tree for Every Graduate," aiming to increase green spaces across the country. Each student will plant a tree named after them, and this initiative will continue as long as the prestigious university thrives.
Poet Chawki Bazih delivered a heartfelt tribute speech to the south of Lebanon.
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Yara Abdallah along with the academic body awarded the certificates to students, and artist Ghassan Saliba added a patriotic touch with a selection of songs as a tribute to Lebanon.
