The AOU financial department has several key roles. Its main role is to:

• Fully implement a complete and comprehensive compliance with all legal authorities’ reports and update the reporting process         accordingly as per the legal authority’s requirements.
• Assist the university in the implementation of new systems, new procedures and workflows, new plans and goals, and in all financial      aspects and reporting needed that might be of more benefit to the university.
• Ensure that the accounting system & reporting complies with IFRS standards.
• Work and cooperate with both the internal and external auditors for the issuance of the audited report and financial statements.
• Record, deliver and maintain all tasks of the financial department
• Prepare the yearly budget in cooperation with other departments and to approve and execute payments within budget limits.​
