Collaboration and Services
The Arab Open University – Lebanon organizes outreach programs and volunteer initiatives aimed at improving health and well-being within the university and the local community. These include blood donation campaigns, mental health awareness sessions, and emotional resilience workshops.
- The Arab Open University – Lebanon organized a blood donation campaign entitled “Save Lives.” This initiative aimed to support local hospitals and patients in urgent need of blood, while also raising awareness among students and staff about the importance of regular blood donation.
- The University participated in the Beirut Marathon as an annual tradition which promotes physical health and well-being while reflecting the university’s dedication to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 and Goal 17. This year AOU was running for the NGO “Ajialouna.”
- The University provided access to mental health and emotional wellness sessions such as The Power of You: Managing Stress and Emotions delivered by Dr. Manal Nabulsi to inspire emotional resilience and equip students with self-help tools to face life challenges.
- The University organized Coping with Emotions in Times of Crisis, a session conducted by Dr. Manal Nabulsi aimed at equipping students with valuable strategies for managing stress, anger, and overcoming challenges encountered by youth in conflict zones.
- The University delivered a webinar titled Empathy: A Key to Resilience and Success, conducted by staff member Mrs. Manal Ahmad, AOU Kindness Ambassador, to enlighten students on how empathy can revolutionize leadership, foster unbreakable teams, and ignite positive change.
- The University held Psychological First Aid Training in collaboration with LRC at Tripoli Center, where students, academics, and staff underwent training to gain valuable skills to support themselves and those around them in times of crisis.
