Admission and registration procedure for new students
Step 1: Visit the student affairs office to receive a briefing on the majors and general requirements along with NSSF requirements.
Step 2: Fill in your application online or at the Learning resources center on campus
Step 3: Settle the application fees at the cashier's office
Step 4: For undergraduate students, return to the Registrar's office to Submit a hard copy of all necessary documents and to assign a date for the placement test.
Step 5: For undergraduate programmes, pass by the Registrar office to receive your acceptance on the system, then go to the cashier's office, to pay the registration and placement test fees
For postgraduate programmes, the applicant will be contacted by the registrar's office for the decision on acceptance. Upon acceptance, pass by the Cashier's office and pay the registration fees.
Step 6: Collect the acceptance letter and the Advisor's welcome note from the registrar's office.
Step 7: For undergraduate students, sit for the required placement test at the Learning resources center (results are automatically issued) and determine your level
Step 8: Visit your academic advisor for the academic plan and online registration
Step 9: Visit the Finance department again (Cashier & NSSF), to select instalment plan and provide NSSF papers if already registered at NSSF. Otherwise, you need to fill the NSSF form, the NSSF fees will be included within the instalment plan.
Step 10: Attend the New Student Orientation session*
Step 11: Start attending your classes.
Students attend a general
induction session to familiarize them with all aspects of academic and social life as a student of
AOU. In addition, Course Tutors during the first tutorials orient
students on their courses and the relevant policies.
