Makram Hatoum received his Master of Engineering in Computer and Communications Engineering from Antonine University (Lebanon) in 2013. He pursued his research at the University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté, where he earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering.

In 2013, Makram began his career as a Network Engineer at GlobalCom Holding. Over the years, he advanced to become the Head of Core Planning and Network Operations at Mobi, Lebanon, a position he held until 2022.

In 2021, he started as a part-time lecturer at the Arab Open University (AOU), Faculty of Computer Studies (FCS), Lebanon branch. Currently, as an Assistant Professor at AOU, he is committed to creating engaging and interactive learning environments. He strives to make complex concepts accessible and enjoyable, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for the subject among his students.

Makram is a lifelong learner, believing that teaching and learning are interrelated processes. Through his teaching and research, he aims to contribute to the advancement of science and technology. He serves as a reviewer for several journals, with main research interests in Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Security, Cryptography, and Networking.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Makram is a friendly and approachable individual who thrives on building new connections and fostering relationships. His ability to connect with others enhances his teaching and mentoring, making a positive impact on both his colleagues and students.
