The Arab Open University – Lebanon Secures UK-Standard Validation and Revalidation Across Postgraduate Programmes
In a strong affirmation of its academic excellence and global alignment, the Arab Open University – Lebanon has successfully completed a series of major academic milestones, including the validation of the MSc in Healthcare Management, the joint validation of the MSc in Artificial Intelligence and MSc in Data Science, and the revalidation of the MBA programme across its three tracks.
Through a comprehensive and multi-layered review process, the panel examined programme design, governance structures, quality assurance frameworks, and sector alignment. The validation of the MSc in Healthcare Management included distinguished experts from the Open University, University of London, York St. John University London, Anglia Ruskin University, and the AOU Headquarters.
Engagements with senior management, faculty, and students ensured a holistic evaluation of the programme's academic integrity and readiness to address the evolving healthcare landscape.
Further advancing its position at the forefront of digital and technological education, AOU – Lebanon also completed the joint validation of the MSc in Artificial Intelligence and MSc in Data Science, two programmes of growing global significance.
The validation process was conducted through a comprehensive and structured series of engagements held online, bringing together distinguished experts from The Open University, the University of Lincoln, Birmingham City University, and Manchester Metropolitan University, alongside AOU senior leadership across Lebanon, Egypt, Oman, and the wider AOU network, programme teams, and student representatives.
Soon, and after undergoing further national validations, the University will proceed with offering these newly validated Master's programmes.
In parallel, the MBA programme underwent a full revalidation across its three tracks: General, Human Resources, and Finance, resulting in revalidation without conditions. The revalidation included distinguished experts from the Open University, the University of Liverpool, the University of Bedfordshire, and the AOU HQ.
The process held a comprehensive review of curriculum relevance, delivery models, assessment strategies, and continuous improvement mechanisms. The outcome affirms the programme's alignment with international standards and its continued relevance in a rapidly evolving business environment.
Across all three milestones, the application of UK higher education quality frameworks ensures that AOU programmes meet rigorous international benchmarks in academic design, governance, and student outcomes.
For students, this translates into a distinctive academic advantage: AOU's programmes offer a dual-recognition model, enabling graduates to obtain both nationally accredited degrees and UK-validated qualifications through its partnership with The Open University. This dual recognition enhances employability, supports international mobility, and positions graduates competitively within global professional landscapes.
