In a world full of speed, timing is a huge factor and affects the whole life processes,
especially in the communications era. The connectivity between humans becomes
easier and necessary in their lives, the availability of the connecting devices and the
ease of use of these devices help the users to be connected with each other in a very
easy and simple way, in the other hand the needed security in this communication
platform is mandatory, especially when we are talking about the latest communication
generation of mobile, the 5th generation of mobile communication is intended
to be available in the world at the beginning of 2020, it is tested and deployed in
some advanced countries, but with the huge speed that this generation provides, a
remarkable amount of threats occurs and some vulnerabilities have been figured out,
the needed of a security platform is mandatory, in our research we are going to explore
the mobile generations briefly and study deeply the 5th generation with their aspects,
strategies, threats and their countermeasure, over the two types of security solutions
(Cryptographic and non-cryptographic solutions), in our research we will study briefly
those two solutions with the available countermeasure against the threats that they
cover, and we will propose an enhanced cryptographic algorithm with a lightweight
and robust stream cipher scheme for the 5th generation of mobile communication with
the main component needed to establish a secured platform with a fast processing
algorithm.
