The Internet of Things is a rapidly developing technology in which sensors and computing devices
connected to a network share data to solve various issues and provide new services. IoT, for
instance, is the key technology that makes smart homes possible. Users of smart home technology
can take advantage of numerous features like temperature monitoring, smoke detection, automatic
light control, and smart locks, among others. Be that as it may, it likewise makes the way for new
arrangements of safety and protection issues, for instance, the confidential information of clients
can be gotten by assuming command of reconnaissance gadgets or initiating misleading alarms,
and so on. These difficulties make brilliant homes weak to different kinds of safety assaults and
individuals are hesitant to take on this innovation because of the security issues. In this survey
paper, we discuss the Internet of Things (IoT), its development, objects and their specifications,
the layered structure of the IoT environment, and various smart home security issues at each layer.
The issues and difficulties that arise in IoT-based smart homes are discussed in this paper, as are
some potential solutions to these security issues
