The LRC offers an open intellectual environment where students have access to various resources such as books, magazines, E-library, online resources and other facilities and services such as printing, scanning and photocopying.

The LRC in all AOU centers comprises a computer area, more than 40 PCs, all equipped with internet connection and specialized software to support students in their academic searches. In addition to the reading area which accommodate around 50 to 60 students in each center.​​

​Library catalogs includes bibliographic records for both Arabic and foreign books and periodicals in all disciplines. For cataloging the resources Dewey Decimal Classification System is followed and provides information services for its patrons in accordance with the policies and procedures in the management of the library.

Library staff provide guidance and training to educate its beneficiaries about the available physical and online resources. The users are briefed on topics such as how to retrieve information from the e-library databases, and the rules of using the electronic information and different sources of information etc.​
