Alfred Osta – Head of Antelias Study Center - Assistant Professor (and Coordinator and Lecturer)
Alfred Osta earned his Doctorate of Business
Administration (DBA) at Grenoble Ecole De Management, France, in 2014. He
started his university teaching career in 2003 and is currently the Head of Antelias Study Center and a faculty
member in the Faculty of Business Studies at Arab Open University (AOU) in
Lebanon. With 20 years of experience and expertise in higher education, he is dedicated
to both teaching and research. He has also served as a peer reviewer of conferences and journal paper. Over
the years Alfred has developed strong management skills with practical
expertise in human resource management; technology, innovation and
entrepreneurship; marketing; as well as in other business areas. Alfred has also developed during his career
strong expertise in counselling, advising, mentoring and training. In 2013, he
received a Training of Trainers (ToT) certification related to enhancing the competencies
of instructors, coordinators and professors. Similarly in 2015, he received a
Training of Trainers certification related to a workshop on foundation of
success: soft skills from communication to negotiations. In the context of
community activities/initiatives provided by AOU, he has designed and delivered
training workshops in HRM to attendees from the Ministry of Social Affairs (in
2014 and 2017). Similarly in 2015, he conducted training workshops in HRM to
SME managers who recruit people with special needs. Consequently, Alfred has
accumulated knowledge and robust expertise in managing, teaching and
facilitating learning, counselling and mentoring, developing and conducting
training modules in the business field, namely in HRM, innovation and
entrepreneurship. He has also developed his remote work skills and adaptability
to effectively adapt to and swiftly respond to influences in the ever-changing
global business context.
