The Information Technology department serves as a strategic partner to AOU business units. We strive to be a catalyst for AOU success through providing innovative learning, teaching and research support technologies. In addition to the daily technical and support services, we support the administrative and academic functions with a portfolio of services to enable those functions to work in the most productive and innovative manner. We provide our students and faculty with services ranging from SIS, LMS, Web sites and E-library. We also facilitate the work of our administrative staff with the best in class systems for ERP, HR and more. In order to support connectivity among AOU communities, we provide a broad range of voice and video facilities like emails, forums, collaboration web conferencing and IP telephony services. We are also responsible for making sure that all centralized services, central licenses and subscriptions for software and infrastructure is well provisioned and optimized under efficient agreements with leading IT providers.
We continuously keep abreast with recent trends in technologies like cloud computing, mobility, automation that leverage efficiency, productivity and fulfill the progressive leaning needs of our students. Our new IT strategy 2019-2023 reflects our commitment to achieve AOU vision through the digital transformation efforts necessary to disseminate knowledge and build the science and knowledge society.
