Teaching Diploma in Education

Introduction

The Arab Open University is an independent institution for open higher education, aiming to contribute to the service of the Arab community by providing opportunities for self-learning and lifelong learning.

The teaching Diploma in education: is a 30-credit hour program and is considered as an in-service training program for teachers who are teaching in the field in order to leverage and refresh their pedagogical knowledge, and qualify them to be educational leaders in the future.

Programme Duration

The minimum number of semesters for a Teaching Diploma in Education is two regular semesters (one academic year).

The maximum number of semesters for a Teaching Diploma in Education is four semesters (two academic years).

Method of Delivery

The programme is delivered in a blended learning method, and students should attend 25% of the face to face classes, and communicate and interact with tutors via the Learning Management System using the varied tools.

Basis of acceptance:

To be eligible for registration, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. The accepted specializations are:

Social Studies (Sociology, History, Geography, Civil Education, Law, and Political Studies)
Arabic Language
English language
Mathematics
Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
