Teaching Diploma in Special Education – Learning Difficulties

Introduction​

The Teaching Diploma in Special Education – Learning Difficulties aims to develop social awareness and attitudes, and to develop students' knowledge, skills, and values necessary for specializing in teaching students and youth with Special Educational Needs, with a focus on Learning Disabilities.

The program includes 30 credit hours and serves as in-service training for teachers working in this field, helping them update their pedagogical knowledge and qualifying them to become educational leaders in the future.



About Program

Programme Duration

The  minimum  number of semesters for a Teaching Diploma in Education is  two regular semesters   (one academic year) .

The  maximum  number of semesters for a Teaching Diploma in Education is  four semesters  (two academic years).


Method of Delivery

The program  is delivered in a blended learning method, and students should attend 25% of the face to face classes, and communicate and interact with tutors via the Learning Management System using the varied tools. 



Basis of acceptance:

To be eligible for registration, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. The accepted specializations are :
  • Psychology 
  • Elementary Education
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Special Education​
