Course Description: The primary goal of this course is to equip students with the technical and communicative skills necessary to thrive in an AI-driven job market. Objectives include:
• Understanding Interview Dynamics: Distinguishing between traditional, AI-assisted, and asynchronous interview formats.
• Mastering the STAR Model: Learning to structure behavioral responses (Situation, Task, Action, Result) so they are effective for both human recruiters and AI algorithms.
• Overcoming Digital Barriers: Recognizing and navigating challenges such as tech anxiety and algorithmic bias.
• Document Optimization: Applying AI tools to ensure CVs and cover letters pass through Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Ethical Literacy: Exploring the legal and ethical boundaries of AI in hiring, including data privacy and transparency.
Learning Outcomes (CEFR):
- Read, with relative ease, complex texts and specialized articles
- Use language flexibly and effectively for social and professional purposes
- Express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.
- Understand specialized articles and long technical instructions,
- Write detailed expositions of complex subjects in a letter, an essay, or a report
- Produce clear, smooth-flowing, well-structured speech that demonstrates a controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices.
