Course Description: This course prepares students for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification exam offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI®). Covering all three domains of the PMP® Examination Content Outline (People, Process, and Business Environment) the course equips students with the knowledge, tools, and frameworks needed to manage projects using predictive, agile, and hybrid methodologies. Upon completing this 36-hour program, students will fulfill the formal education requirement for PMP® exam eligibility as set by PMI®.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand PMP® exam structure, eligibility requirements, and the PMI® Code of Ethics
- Apply the five process groups and ten knowledge areas of the PMBOK® Guide
- Create key project documents: charters, stakeholder registers, WBS, and risk registers
- Lead and manage project teams across predictive, agile, and hybrid environments
- Monitor project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) and other metrics
- Manage risks, changes, and communications throughout the project lifecycle
- Execute formal project closure with lessons learned and documentation
